Nice words from Boddy about Jagers, but if the truth be told, Jagers learned pitch design by following Bauer around at Driveline for a couple off seasons.

Bauer is the best, there is no disputing that. He started the genre (long before it was a twinkle in anyone's eyes) way back in '13. Jagers even posted the film of Bauer from those early days giving him his props. But Jagers learned from the best and that isn't a bad place to start.

If you are actually Bauer with a nom de plume, this is an ace troll job.

    Well done.

And he has a sub .800 OPS the last 2. He doesn’t get on base. Meh.

Regarding the Jagers news, should we be hiring Jason Ochart away from the Phillies for the hitting side? He's their hitting coordinator and apparently the Director of Hitting at Driveline.

Reds catcher Francisco Pena signed by A’s to a minor league contract.

A rude awakening for Reds fans. Brace yourself. It's shaping up as a long, cold winter with what looks like a lump of coal in your stocking.

Well, I hope he’s wrong. Oof. Now is not the time to get cheap.

It's probably not gonna be too bad if everybody's proportionally going cheap.

It’s not. But the premise of the article is that pretty much all teams are going cheap. So there will be a flood of affordable players in the marketplace. There could be a shock when players are non-tendered but let’s wait for the dust to clear.

I do hope they tender Bradley.

I'd much rather keep Bradley over Goodwin. No need to mess with bullpen pieces that actually work.

I'd much rather see them ride Shogo for all he's worth out in CF/LF and get a Goodwin replacement on the cheap than find a proper setup guy to replace Bradley.

This league is an absolute joke. If they go hard on slashing payroll now, I’m out forever. I watch baseball to see my favorite team win, not to watch the idiot billionaires who own the teams balance their checkbook. Pathetic.

Please stay. Join us in watching baseball burn, brother. I know I need you on my side in the game threads when we make fun of the problematic boomers with Star Wars and Mid 90s comedy gifs.

    Thank you in advance.

Eddie Rosario has cleared waivers and is now a free agent, per source. #Twins
Correction: Rosario clearing waivers does not make him a free agent. Per source, the Twins can still tender him a contract by the 8pm ET deadline. Otherwise, he's non-tendered and will be a free agent.

I’m incredibly honored and excited to announce that I’ll be joining the @Reds Player Development Department as a pitching coach in the Dominican Republic. Something really special is happening there and I could not be more proud to be a part of what they’re building #Spincinnati
