In the story it said the woman contacted a Cubs employee about him and that employee pressed her numerous times on whether she was going to sue him. It also said the Cubs employee said Porter wanted to apologize to her in person and that employee thought it would be a good idea. But the Cubs issued a statement earlier tonight that this was the first they heard about it. So either they are lying or that employee didn't tell his higher ups or if he did, they sat on it. A potential lawsuit against an employee of your organization doesn't sound like something you keep to yourself.
