Gausman will sign his QO. I don't think he can do better than that on open market.

Two ex-Reds had their options picked up:

The Orioles picked up Jose Iglesias” $3.5M options and the Astros picked up Brook Raley’s $2M option.

Like to see the Reds take a look at Mike Foltynewicz as Boddy could help fix him. He was very good a year or so ago.

MLBTradeRumors projects the Top 50 MLB Free Agents. Reds only pick up one-- SS Didi Gregorius. They lose Bauer to the Dodgers and DeSclafani to the Red Sox.

I'd be thrilled if they picked up DiDi. My personal guess is that the Reds don't sign any big names and just dumpster dive.
I do hope I'm wrong. Not bashing, just giving my prediction.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

That was your personal guess last off-season as well, IIRC.

I think Williams leaving suggests the Reds want to be buyers this off season.

The Reds no longer have a GM/President of Operations who has a financial stake in the team.

No one has mentioned anything about 76 years young Tony La Russa getting hired to manage the Chicago White Sox?
