The Reds had 4 of the top 79 picks in 2007 and got 3 All-Stars out of it. If they get 3 All-Stars out of the first 52 picks from this year's draft, would you consider that a success?

I mean, the current Reds drafting group have pretty much went chalk with the picks and so far, so good, right?

Lodolo has done nothing but impress (outside of one way too early cup of coffee) and Hendricks has been routinely praised.

excuse me they drafted Josiah Gray and Jeter Downs
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

They really need to hit on at least 3/4 top 52 picks. This draft will go a long way in rebuilding the farm!!!

what is this "farm" you speak of?
Well, that's what those words mean. He was here. If they don't keep him, he will have been lost/subtracted. I headed out the door today with two shoes on my feet. If I don't return with them, I have lost them. If I do return with them, I haven't added them. ---M2

With that in mind MLB top 100 prospects has us picking:

    17-Richard Fitts (Auburn) 6'3 200 RHP

    30- Gunnar Hoglund (Mississippi) 6'4 220 RHP

    35- Anthony Solometo (HS) 6'3 215 LHP

    52- Edwin Arroyo (HS P.Rico) 6'0 175 SS

I actually like all these guys, and I would put more emphasis on pitching this year

I though I would share the below link as it talks about how deep this year will be in Collage Baseball and how the draft is having an affect on college baseball in general. Its a good read

I'd be happy if they got one.

I'm kind of hoping Andrew Painter falls to us.

How in the world did Al Leiter let his kid become a righty?

    Rob Manfred: "Hold my beer"

when is the last time we drafted a kid out of puerto rico and it worked out? we've drafted a few. i don't think any of them have made it.

seems like we have good scouts in cuba, bad ones in puerto rico, and average ones in the dominican. puerto rico is the only carribbean country/territory that affects the draft though (since it's a US territory of course).

Yan Contreras is very much a TBD. Not a great prospect by any stretch yet, but he has only played 20 games in his career so far and had had 84 plate appearances.

Wendell Marrero looked good in 2019.
