"The single most important thing for a hitter is to get a good pitch to hit. A good hitter can hit a pitch that’s over the plate three times better than a great hitter with a ball in a tough spot.”

    I’m hoping for a great 2022.

If it was gonna happen this weekend I’d rather it be before the ball drops so it doesn’t bring down the average of next year.

Aren’t they doing a 100th bday special for her in two weeks?

She lived a hell of a life.

Yes. I understand the current edition of "People" magazine celebrates her 100th birthday, which would have been in a couple of weeks.

RIP Betty White. One word for her - Legend. Nearly lived to be 100. Most famous role for me was Rose in Golden Girls. From St Olaf Minnesota. Ha! Probably the inspiration for Keillor’s Lake Wobegon.
Anyone else remember the Super Bowl Snickers ad - she impersonated a low energy guy getting tackled during a pickup football game. “Mike, you're playing like Betty White out there," one of his friends yelled. White, flat on the ground and covered in mud, fired back, "That's not what your girlfriend said!"

This and the MTM Show in which she played Sue Ann for me. A wonderful actress who seemed like a good person too. I liked the work she did with animals also. Se lived a long and full life. RIP Betty White.

Just saw where there’s a People Magazine cover on the shelf celebrating her 100th birthday already.

    Oops.
