Wow, didn't see this coming. Since it's happening anyway, hopefully it's for the best for all parties.

At least we know ownership doesn’t consider 7th in the league a success.

Did not see this one coming. Hopefully the emphasis on development and innovation remains a keypoint. I think that has been put in place on the pitching side of things and was hopefully going to happen on the hitting side. All in all I think Dick Williams did a pretty decent job that might yield results in the future.

I love how Dick talks about how much he sacrificed. Child please, you were handed a baseball team because of your last name. Millions of people would kill to be handed that royal flush. Give me a break.

    RedTeamGo for the win!

I actually have been impressed with Krall, so I am optimistic about the Reds moving forward.

Wow is right. I was so encouraged by the Williams tenure. I can't imagine Krall having the same power within the organization. I'm afraid of a backslide to the Jocketty types.

He said his family sacrificed for him. It's like you misinterpret everything.

Re: Dick Williams resigns as Reds' President of Baseball Operations

I can’t believe they are trying to use the “wanted to spend more time with my family” spin. He clearly was forced out, but being the owner’s son, they couldn’t fire him.

It seems the Reds have moved away from nepotism twice in just a few weeks. This is a very encouraging sign.
