Would be sweet for Shogo to win it, especially considering his struggles at the plate for much of the season. He was very good out there in LF and held his own in CF.

I believe that these finalists were chosen 100% on advanced metrics, not on coaches voting. It’s nice to see that the advanced stats back up what us Reds fans saw from Shogo this year on defense.

Yadier Molina doesn’t like being considered the 4th best catcher in the NL Central by the @sabr SDI.

Yadier Molina claims MLB doesn't want him to catch Johnny Bench in Gold Gloves, but there's a problem with that argument

I would think you should be a full-time player to be eligible for the GG. Is there any criteria for consideration?

Hmmm, the winners to be announced on election night.

    2020 Gold Glove finalists unveiled
The finalists -- three at each position in each league (except for second base in the American League) -- for the 2020 Gold Glove Awards were revealed by Rawlings on Twitter. The winners will be named on Tuesday, Nov. 3, on ESPN at 8 p.m. ET. “

Tucker has a chance to win.

He’s won before which gives him credibility. The advanced stats are good (as they are for the others). Tucker had 9 DRS to lead all NL catchers. Bauer talks him up, pitching staff did well.

Not saying all of this is necessarily relevant, but I can see him getting the nod. Shogo’s chances appear weaker.

Really? Is there a better way for the Gold Gloves to be completely ignored than announcing them on election day 2020?
