Hence, why I said that our schools are terrible and there are so many stupid parents. You would have not have even discussed the Vietnam War at all to not be aware of that girl.

While I agree it's a historically significant photo, detail level historical knowledge of Vietnam is not something younger generations are going to have. Boomers just think their cultural touch stones are eternal monuments to which everyone must genuflect.

I don't think anyone that hasn't seen that picture is sheltered or stupid etc...and I'd ask that people don't accuse others of that.

But on the other hand listen to some of the wiser people on here. It is an award-winning famous historical picture. Doesn't belong here. But it's not as outrageous as some of you thought it was initially.
