Hard to imagine losing any of these players. The Reds just acquired O'Brien, so maybe him, but I'm not really sweating any of these guys.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

    Good call.

I suspect Gutierrez will be picked by an enterprising rebuilding club looking for cheap bullpen help. He has (at times) a monster arm, but his results have struggled to keep up with his talent. He's the type of guy other teams will pick, hoping to develop.

Does his 80 game suspension still have to be served? Is it shortened at all by the nonexistence of games this year?

    No clue.

I'd think that may make him more attractive as a target. He can serve the suspension (while working out unofficially with either the parent club or a minor league pitching coach in extended), then be readier than the typical Rule 5 guy.

He got credit for 60 games this year, will have to serve 20 next year

    Re: Rule 5 draft

I can easily picture the Reds adding none of them and not losing any of them. That said, I expect them to add O'Brien and probably one or two more. So much money invested in AlfRod and Vlad....sigh.

Sadly, he passed away eight years ago.

    Re: Rule 5 draft

I say O'Brien gets protected and none of the others do. Alfredo is the one I question not protecting most. I say no one gets grabbed but that we grab someone. There's just too many open slots.

    Re: Rule 5 draft

I count 32 on the 40 man roster. I can't see carrying more than 1 rule 5 player this year. Perhaps as many as 3 slots could be needed for trades/FA signings. That still leaves a number of slots available.
