It is on the whole probable that we continually dream, but that consciousness makes such a noise that we do not hear it. Carl Jung.

    Hum - Inlet

    My album of the year

Shoegazey alt-rock that is sorrowful and melancholy and about timelessness and loss and exquisite and tender, fragile things that cannot be perceived by the mind, only the heart.

New, surprise Ryan Adams album "Wednesdays" is exquisite.

She did the American Originals:1918 with the Cincinnati Poos a couple years ago. Great show and a great series. I really miss the Pops.

Steve Earle's album of JT's songs is really good.

They wear their influences on their sleeves, but it's great all the same. Toronto's Kiwi Jr.'s new release:

Most everything Steve does is great IMO. I have saw him live 8 times in the past 35 years. Talked to him several times after shows. After one show for about 45 minutes. Nice interesting guy. Gave him a Townes van zandt T-Shirt after the last show. Seemed really thankful. Saw the last show of his long time band member Kelley Looney RIP.

sometimes when I am bored a watch the various you tube videos of Steve Earle singing "This Land is Your Land". He is great.
I've been to dinner at Jimmy Buffet's house, and I've eaten it at a homeless shelter. And there's great joy and harrowing terror to be found in both places.
