To be clear: M2, WOY and Cinci Chili are the Rich White Kid league who "get each other"and do rotesserie. Keep that in that mind before reaching a conclusion.

Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. -- Carl Sagan (Pale Blue Dot)

Fail to see how a vaccine requirement would be needed, unless there's some sort of fear that players will get sick and miss games? They never required the flu vaccine so this would be an odd decision.

I work as a contractor for State Department. We were briefed on their policy today. State will be getting enough shots for everyone including contractors. We will be offered the shot but are not required to take it. After everyone has been offered the shot then going back to work will go back to normal. Meaning unlimited telework will be over. There are still plenty of unanswered questions but as of right now there is no requirement to get the shot.

My guess is MLB does require up to date vaccines as part of whatever team physical players receive. Flu isn't much of an issue because the league plays outside of flu season (and ST is in warm weather locations). Wild guess, but it wouldn't surprise me if the NBA, NHL and NFL gave players flu vaccines every year as a part of their regular team doctor visits.
I'm not a system player. I am a system.

A vaccine for the novel coronavirus is likely to be made available to teams some time during the 2021 season, and while managers say they plan to be inoculated, no manager or team has said it will mandate vaccines for players. Most said they were eager to provide information to players, but not to issue directions.
