They issued today's report early. It's usually in the late evening. So this may be an interim, because we just went over 1 million doses administered!!

A lot of people flashing their vaccine administration card on social media over the past 24 hours...

Evening Report out. US crossed the million doses mark. Now at 1.12 million. 340,000 higher than the day before. Some states (like Virginia) reported for the first time.
Two states crossed over the 100K mark. California and Illinois. Only 3 states and DC haven't reported numbers.
Three states hit the 1% of population mark, led by Alaska at 1.2%

It seems to be going well, but here is one person’s opinion who thinks otherwise:

Analysis: Some Said the Vaccine Rollout Would Be a ‘Nightmare.’ They Were Right.
There are already signs that distribution of the COVID vaccines will be messy, confusing and chaotic.

Dec 24th total is 1,229,009. Up about 110,000. Not that much has changed. Pace of vaccinations needs to pick up. A lot. And I suspect not much will be given on the 25th.

While I'm sure there are many factors that would have made the rollout smoother, there are always critics. Its truly a marathon here, and everyday the number of those vaccinated goes up which is the most important thing.
If any of you have ever been in any type of leadership role be it in an organization or a company, its rare that you get 100% approval on anything.

I monitor Florida and Ohio a lot since one is where I live and one is where I'm from and still have some family there. Florida is doing more than twice as many vaccinations per day. Ohio just had their biggest day at 6,286 and Florida is always close to 15,000.

After skipping a day the vaccination report is updated again. Just shy of 2 million. 1,944,585. And that's with California not reporting for 4 days. They are still the highest state by raw numbers. ND has the highest percentage at 1.7%.

I totally enjoy these updates - 2 stats that might want to be considered as well are:
1) Precentage of a states population who has gotten the vax. (I see you mentioned that but no names given)
2) Percentage of a states allotment that has been used.
The Dakotas and WV (who’d have bet on those states?) seem to be out in front.
Alaska is the other state at 1.7%

The source I'm using (Bloomberg) doesn't really say how much has on hand. It shows each states allotment. Two things jump out to me.
1) I don't know why they are not doing this 24/7. They are taking holidays off, weekends off. You know what isn't taking the weekend and holidays off? The virus. This literally should be round the clock. During the Berlin airlift we landed a plan like every 7 minutes or something.
2) As somewhat slow as we seem to be going...... we're faster than anyone in the world.
