My daughter's school sent out an email last night stating that they would be closed (going remote) on 2/5 and 2/26 so the teachers could get their vaccines.

California is in the lead so far as doses given goes but Bloomberg goes out of its way to discuss reporting issues they may be experiencing.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/live-...0F1E78B2240004
A state team found that many vaccines administered were not being reported. Some health clinics were using a records system that requires them to click a “submit” button at the end of the day -- and they were forgetting to do so. Other providers using paper forms weren’t typing them up because it took too long. (Each form includes 40 data fields.)
Just checked in again. Bloomberg's chart now breaks down states by first/second doses. We are averaging 1.3 million shots a day. That's 39 million a month. I'm ok with that rate. California has now just hit 3 million doses. Texas over 2 million.
Alaska still the % leader with 15.72%
In total we've 28.9 million doses.

The "distribution" problem is probably "don't want it" problem

US at 9.7 doses per 100 people. Almost to double digits.
I look forward to and certainly cede the honor to Jax announcing that milestone tomorrow.
And we hit it. On the nose 10% !! 32.8 million doses.

Vaccine pace has slowed the last 3 days and was under 1M yesterday. Still not entirely sure how the reporting on this works and different places show different numbers.
I always try to use the same source so numbers are consistent. It does show 7 day average went from 1.34 to 1.32 mill a day. Hopefully just the weekend numbers rolling in.

Are you boys counting the two doses needed? Fauci said today that only 2% of the country has been fully vaccinated. He also said we would need to be fully vaccinated between 70-85% for a return to normal.
I heard from a client yesterday that the second vaccine is lagging behind on distribution.

Yes the figures now account for both percentages. But since you get about 80% of the bang for the buck 2 weeks after first dose, I think that is the most important figure.

The 7 Day vaccination average is back up to 1.34 million.
I must confess my interest is waning in these numbers, and has been transferred to my interest in the raw new cases numbers. Not sure if I'll be updating anymore.

That's the one that in the long run determines deaths and lockdowns etc.
