They're 2-8. I'll completely believe they can make that 7-10 range. Somebody's got to, but they just barfed away another game. They've been exceptionally lackluster this season. I don't think there's any way this team finishes high in the East like it has in recent seasons.

12 of the 15 teams in the West have either 4 or 5 losses.

It's very, very early in this particular season.

He noticed that James Harden was getting all the COVID grief and wanted his share?

Seriously, I suspect he's struggling with depression. He's just not enjoying basketball right now and doesn't want to go to work.

So far this season, Gordon Hayward is playing at an All-NBA level. He's gone 50-40-90 in 11 games on nearly 17 shots per game. More importantly, he's helped make Charlotte enjoyable to watch and competitive.

Two of Washington's three wins have come without Russell Westbrook in the lineup at all.

They're 2-2 without Westbrook and 1-6 with him.

Ben Simmons apparently decided he was going to buck team rules. Instead of sequestering in place in NYC, he hired a driver to take him back to Philly. Doc found out. Simmons is now on injured reserve.

I'm guessing Simmons (and change) for Harden rumors begin again, this time in earnest.

His personality is a liability, plain and simple. A lot of people are starting to question if he even enjoys playing anymore.

Right now he's supposedly not playing as he's protesting due to the recent events but you'd be crazy not to point out a trend in his actions. While I've got nothing against someone's beliefs/feelings I'd imagine depending on him as a teammate would be frustrating.

They're 30th in D rating and 29th in net rating. It's early, so lots of things can/will change, but there's very little current evidence that team has figured anything out. Haliburton looks great though.

Fox has got to shoot better to be considered anything other than a second division PG.

Hield has to defend or rebound or do something else other than shoot from deep.

Bagley has to... Well, he has to be better in all facets, basically.

They're a long, long way from relevance right now. The good news is that they're winning in spite of their struggles so far. If they improve (even a little), they may well get lucky.

Where are you seeing this Simmons news? All I've seen is that he's probable tonight.

Re: NBA 2020-21: The Final Covid-19 Season?

    From Rotoworld w/ Rotoworld comments:

The Wizards have canceled their practice on Tuesday after two players entered the league's health and safety protocols. Which two players are in the protocols isn't clear, but presumably those individuals will be in danger of missing Wednesday's home game vs. the Jazz. If they're part of the league's contact tracing they could miss a week, and if either of them tests positive for COVID-19 their absence could extend beyond a week. For now, fantasy managers should sit tight as we await updates from the Wizards. As noted by Wizards insider Chase Hughes, "This marks five straight games for the Wizards where players on either their team or their previous opponent entered Covid protocol the next day."

Re: NBA 2020-21: The Final Covid-19 Season?

    From Rotoworld w/ Rotoworld comments:

Collin Sexton (left ankle sprain) and Darius Garland (sprained right shoulder) will not play vs. the Jazz on Tuesday. The absence of Cleveland's typical starting backcourt means Damyean Dotson will once again be extremely busy as the starting point guard.

Andre Drummond (bruised right Achilles) is questionable vs. the Jazz on Tuesday.
Drummond was excellent on Monday with 19 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal, but he must have been hit in the Achilles before fouling out in 35 minutes. He's as durable as they get, so hopefully his status will be upgraded closer to tip-off.

The more Holmes plays, the better their Defense. How long before Haliburton starts? I Would think a lineup that has Holmes, Barnes, Haliburton and Fox in it will do just fine Defensively.
