I saw exasperation in Lillard's demeanor in the immediate post-game interview that it took his other-worldly heroics (and help from others) to win after blowing another 20-point lead. They still played well (compared to before their two practices), improving one game at a time.

POR needed this win and how it happened badly.

Re: NBA 2020-21: The Final Covid-19 Season?

    From Rotoworld w/ Rotoworld comments:

Playing in his first game since New Year’s Day, Derrick White scored 18 points (6-of-11 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs) with two rebounds, one assist, two steals and three 3-pointers in Saturday’s loss to the Grizzlies. White was playing in just his second game of the season Saturday night, and he looked quite sharp in his 22 minutes on the floor. “I think he did very very well for having been gone a while,” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said of White’s performance. His return to the rotation is bad news for Devin Vassell, who played just 10 minutes and finished with two points. The rookie may not fall completely out of the rotation, as he did on New Year’s Day, but his already low fantasy value takes a major hit due to White’s return.

Re: NBA 2020-21: The Final Covid-19 Season?

    From Rotoworld w/ Rotoworld comments:

Jimmy Butler returned to action on Saturday vs the Kings, recording 30 points, eight boards and seven assists in the win. Butler hit a big career milestone vs Sac as he surpassed 10,000 career points in the game. He also had it going from the jump, hitting 8-of-19 shots and 14-of-16 from the charity stripe in 34 minutes. It was a monster game for Jimmy Buckets after missing the Heat's last 10 games as he helped them end a five-game skid, too. They're surely happy to have him back as are his fantasy managers.

"Usually in a situation like that, I look up at the clock, and I get real AMBITIOUS."

    Loved that line!

Clippers breeze past Knicks. Randle, Barrett, and Quickley had solid games for New York, but LA's pulled out a different starting lineup that looked really good together. PG, Kawhi, Ibaka, Reggie Jackson, and Patrick Patterson went 31 - 54 from the floor and 11 - 24 from three. (18 - 20 from the line too.)

I really like that starting lineup. It provides the bench with much more firepower (Kennard, Sweet Lou, Marcus Morris, and Zubac, with either PG or Kawhi for now. Possibly Patrick Beverley when he's healthy.)

Jokic is just destroying Utah right now. 35/7/3/2/1 with 2 TO. On Gobert. There's still 6 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.

The Nuggets are 15 - 19 from three point range.

    That's pretty good, right?

Shows how good a win that was for SAS against DEN, DEN's last game. Now SAS has White back. While UTA/LAL/LAC/DEN are the class of the West, some other teams in the West are improving. The 5-10 race will be good to the last day. The East is just as strong as the West, too, except for maybe just a few.

The Pacers are honoring Sekou Smith, whom he covered, before tonight's IND/PHI game. Wish there were fans in the stands for this.

We know they turned down what POR gave HOU for RoCo. They want more than that. How much more, I don't know.

BOS dodged a bullet. Smart's injury looked like a mimimum of a Grade-2 tear, but instead it's only a Grade-1 strain.

Bradley Beal's getting upset in Washington. He stood apart from his teammates in a timeout and is currently -24 on a night when Russell Westbrook is cooking. In the first quarter, he didn't take a shot and played nine minutes.

Something to keep an eye on...

You won't like Nikola Jovic when he's angry. He went for 47-12-5 against the Jazz today.

Beal/Westbrook close against BKN mirrored the Lillard finish against CHI.
