To everyone's surprise Foster was one of the players! The other two were Manny Sarmiento and Ed Armbrister. Foster was very friendly and you could tell he was a very nice person. I was carrying a bag chips and he made some comment about sharing them with him and the team. I had that autograph card for a long time but have since lost it along life's journey.
George came to my town for the Cal Ripken World Series and I personally never interacted with him but a few people I worked with did and had nothing but good things to say about him. One guys son was on the local team that competed in the World Series and George interacted with his son. George came back the next year for a baseball camp and still remembered his sons name. Cal Ripken Jr. on the other hand was allegedly an ass, or so I was told by some people that had to deal with him.

    Billy Hamilton > Drew Stubbs

    And it wasn't particularly close.

I never noticed before that BF keeps track of where guys are buried and if they were cremated.

    It's slightly unnerving.

#6 is a catcher's number, though -- Ed Bailey, Johnny Edwards, Bo Diaz.

If you want to stay in the OF, one season of Ron Gant or Jose Guillen is worth more than all the seasons of Stubbs and Hamilton put together.
Eric Stratton, Rush Chairman. Damn glad to meet ya.

Totally agreed. Just making the point that under no circumstances is it the lackluster Drew Stubbs.

But Cliffy, was there discussion of whether they had ever been in your kitchen?
