Today's bogey is 60,355 to keep the 7 day average on the decline.

Those two are only up about a combined 1800 over yesterday. Not that big a deal (nationally).

May not be the number we want to see, but it looks like it will be lower than last Wednesday's number at least when it settles.

Not a good day. 62,794. Average goes up a bit. Definitely in a bit of plateau. NY jumps out as one of the problems, as well as Michigan. So strikes me as a norther issue. I'll investigate some more.

Re: Monitoring the 7 Day Covid Trend Line. Looking for a peak

Do you update the 7 day for updates the Worldometer makes? I noticed yesterday's number was revised up to 63,495, for example (I notice Kansas has numbers now and it previously was a blank, and it must be the same with some others as the Kansas number was only 376). Just curious as they don't make this particularly easy on someone trying to do what you are doing!

Texas cut its number in half from yesterday. Good sign.

Last week was 62,733, so the average staying roughly the same makes sense.

Re: Monitoring the 7 Day Covid Trend Line. Looking for a peak

Bad number. 66,538. Maybe time to stop calling it a plateau and call it an uptick. We've now gone up an average of 3,000 cases over the last week.

Who's not a problem? California and Texas. Their number continue to fall.

    Who is a problem?
Michigan - Up 2,700 from a month ago and 1,200 in the last week
Pennsylvania - Up 800 from a month ago. All 800 of it in the last week
New Jersey - Up 1,300 from a month ago and 500 in last week
Minnesota - Up 500 in last week
Massachusetts - Up 400 in last week
Illinois - Up 400 in last week
Colorado - Up 300 in last week
Connecticut - Up 200 in last week
Florida - Up 200 in last week
Virginia - Up 150 in last week
Maryland - Up 150 in last week (300 in 2 weeks)

Another bad number. 67,538. The uptick continues. We've now gone up an average of 3,000 cases over the last week. This time I have the low highlighted to see when we break it. But first we have to stop the uptick.

Re: Monitoring the 7 Day Covid Trend Line. Looking for a peak

Sat was a pretty bad number for a weekend. 63,965. Sunday's was much better. 44,096. Two items of note with that number. Michigan who has been climbing like crazy didn't report. And NY reported 9,440 on a freekin weekend.

I have a feeling this will be lost once numbers backfill, but the average actually went down a touch today.
