Re: Monitoring the 7 Day Covid Trend Line. Looking for a peak

Well, a very bad number. 80,161. I can't remember the last time we were in the 80's. Three states were essentially 8,000 or above. NY and Michigan as you might suspect and Florida all of a sudden. Florida had been slowly rising. I looked to see if there was any explanation like a backlog of cases but saw nothing. Tomorrow's Florida numbers will be interesting.

A lot lower number today. Probably because of weekend. Three states were averged 7,000 or above. NY and Michigan and Florida.

I'm seeing Florida as showing 5954 for a 7 day average for C19 cases:

    https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...vid-cases.html

Florida bottomed out at about 4500 cases (7 day avg) so this spike is mild. Florida peaked at about 18K in January

Michigan bottomed out at about 1000 cases in late Feb and their 7 day avg now of 7253 is only about a thousand under their peak in mid December. What's more alarming is that Michigan has less than half the people as Florida. Unless your source is far different than the NY Times, I don't think we can lump those two states together in a discussion of spikes at this time. There's no comparison

A really bad day in Bedrock. 77,720. Florida made up for their real low number yesterday by putting up 9K today. Hopefully that's really 2 days rolled into one and not 'new normal'. Not to be outdone Michigan throws up a 10K number.
