So, just fair news. Yes it's below the 7 Day moving average, but still a big number and higher than yesterday. 236,462. But for now peak on 12th holds.

    10th - 251,952
    11th - 254,822
    12th - 254,161
    13th - 250,068

Just on the bright side - holidays (backlog as well) are over, daily cases inching down, population slowly gaining immunity by the day due to vaccine. The peak of cases may be in the rearview mirror.

An easily spread mutation(s) would be a wrench in things.

Yeah, I'm hoping 11th was the peak. Not only just short of a million per day on the vaccine, but more than 200K get the virus and presumably are no longer capabale of getting the disease. It has to start having an effect soon.

For 25th it was 152,244. Peak on 11th holds. Today's average went up just a touch. That's because a week ago we had a really low number of 142K, and we replaced that with a 152K. So harder to lower the number now.

Reminder that 1 week ago was MLK day. Low reporting that day I’m sure. I expect the 7-day number to continue trending down. Comparing today to last Monday is a one-off.
