Per Article XX-B of the MLB/MLBPA collective bargaining agreement, any player on an MLB Reserve List who has accrued at least six years of MLB Service Time and who is not signed for the following season becomes a free-agent at 9 AM (Eastern) on the first day after the final game of the World Series. In addition, as for any international player who has accrued service time with a foreign "major league" club or clubs prior to signing a "first contract" with an MLB club, any service time accrued while on the active roster of a foreign club(s) may be considered when determining Article XX-B contractual rights & eligibility.

An Article XX-B MLB free-agent who signs a Major League contract after 11:59 PM (Eastern) on the 5th day after the final game of the World Series receives automatic "no trade" rights that extend through June 15th of the following season, even if the player re-signs with his former club.

If an Article XX-B MLB free-agent signs a minor league contract at least ten days prior to MLB Opening Day, and then is either not released by 12 PM (Eastern) on the 5th day prior to MLB Opening Day or added to an MLB Reserve List (40-man roster) or MLB 60-day Disabled List by 12 PM (Eastern) on MLB Opening Day, the player automatically receives a $100,000 retention bonus, and the player can unilaterally opt-out of the minor league contract on June 1st if he has not been added to an MLB Active List (25-man roster) or an MLB Disabled List by that date.

Article XX-B Free Agent Shin-Soo Choo has agreed to a 1 year deal to play for the SK Wyverns in the KBO this year.

His 2.4M$ salary for the 2021 season will be the largest single-season salary in KBO history.

The now 38 year old, native Korean, initially signed with the Seattle Mariners, just a month after turning 18 years old - after being named the Most Valuable Player and Best Pitcher during the 2000 WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup (South Korea took the gold medal). He made his big league debut nearly 5 years after the signing, just 3 months shy of his 23rd birthday, and only after SEA converted him into an outfielder.

This will be his first taste of KBO play, and likely means the end of his 13+ years of service in the bigs. In over 1,600 big league games spread over 16 different seasons with SEA, CLE, CIN, and TEX he hit .275 - .377 - .447. No other Korean born player has played in more than 500 big league games.

Spring Training Opening Day is today, the Reds in particular kick off their spring schedule at 3 pm EST.

With that note, IMHO there remain few free agents who are still set to receive guaranteed contracts between now and the regular season opener. XX-B free agents Jackie Bradley Jr. and Jake Odorizzi should and perhaps a couple of others.

In addition, there are probably only a few non XX-B free agents set to receive guaranteed contracts, Maikel Franco and possibly Yaisel Puig come to mind.

The rest are likely to sign minor league contracts and/or retire (though for most of them it's unlikely we'll receive official notifications to that matter).

As of this moment, the 30 clubs have combined to spend about 1.4B$ in guarantees this winter on 143 Free Agents. That figure is a significant drop from last year's figure of 2.3B$ in guarantees which was spent on 136 Free Agents. The average, league wide, spent per guaranteed contract is significantly lower. This is of particular note in the length of this season's guaranteed contracts, this year only 6% of guaranteed contracts have been for 3 years or more as opposed to 13% of the guaranteed contracts handed out last off-season.
