I mean, they were cut for cost reasons and the Reds as of today don't have anyone that is as good of a SS as Gavlis.
So yea, it's slashing payroll. Can the Reds recover from those losses with some smart moves? Of course.
You have to understand that after dumping Inglesis and all those nontenders, plus rumors the Reds are shopping other players.. some of us are kind of skeptical that the Reds are going to do the additions required to make this team a contender.
Because as of today, they aren't a contender. But yea, that could be fixed with some moves. Hopefully it happens.
