Iowa beat a ranked Iowa St. team.

Not currently ranked. They were ranked at the time.

According to Jeff Sagarin, Cincinnati's schedule is currently rated #97. Iowa's is rated #10. I'm not sure this is the right argument to be making about UC and their schedule. At least not for anyone on UC's side.

Well that matters. Iowa has faced 3 ranked teams. IU, Iowa St., and Penn St.

    Yep.

UC needs IU to right the ship by knocking off some ranked opponents and Notre Dame to run the table.

The only ranked teams that count are those ranked at the end of the season. How does it make sense to credit Iowa for beating a ranked Indiana but not UC?

And Iowa State's best win so far is over 1-AA Northern Iowa.

Is that schedule played so far or projected for the season?

So far. I can't see how UC's is going to improve appreciably. Iowa's will certainly drop off some.

Could UC's improve if SMU proves itself real?

The issue is that the rest of that conference is pretty much hot garbage when compared to any conferences of the other top 10 teams.

It could certainly improve marginally if things go right. Indiana and Miami improve. ND stays undefeated. The best thing perception wise would definitely be for SMU to get to their matchup undefeated and in the top 15. And then for UC to whip them twice.

Not what I would have guessed. It will be interesting to watch as the season plays out and his model converges.

The big question with Iowa and their SoS is the extent and timeline of Clifford's injury. With him, Penn State was the better team on Saturday and an arguable favorite to win the B1G. Without him, Penn State is an underdog against Ohio State, Michigan and Sparty. They're idle next week and then play Illinois, so they've got a few weeks to figure it out.

So UK's current odds on Draft Kings

To make the playoff - +2000
To win the SEC - +4000
To win the National Title - +13000

    LOL

    For comparison sake:
UC is +2800 to win it all
    -380 to win the AAC
    +160 to make the playoff

Beat Georgia and those odds change dramatically.

I don’t think it happens but I want them to go between the hedges and make it respectable. Win out and play in the Sugar Bowl and the season is a major success.

Every week I am surprised by how bad Clemson is. It's late enough in the season that I shouldn't be surprised anymore, but it's just so hard to believe that they're actually just terrible.
