I was at a fourth of July double header in Atlanta when The Big Red machine was playing the Braves and Bench caught one game and Pat Corrales the other. Pat hit a fly ball to Aaron in right and he started juggling the ball at the warning track and kept juggling it to the fence and the ball fell over the fence and the Reds won the game by a run.

One of only two HR's Pat Corrales hit in his Reds career.

Lefty Packy Naughton has a Grade 1 UCL strain. He was acquired from the Reds for Brian Goodwin.

Is Mike Trout the greatest baseball player of all time?

    He might be.

Rando thought, shouldn't they just start listing Cleveland's team name as TBA in the box scores?
    I'm not a system player. I am a system.

I thought so, but that's not how they're being listed on the game display at MLB.com. Probably ought to be listed as Cleveland.

They will still be the Cleveland Indians for the 2021 season.

The name change will happen after the season.

    Charlie Goldsmith @CharlieG__
Kyle Farmer hits a rocket to right-center field for a double that hits the highest part of the wall.

For a player who didn’t have a home run last season, it was a great swing that would have left GABP.

Then Joey Votto drove the second pitch up the middle for a loud single.

It’s interesting comparing how they’re both going about making swing changes.

Toronto won't have a radio team, they will simulcast the TV guys

    https://awfulannouncing.com/mlb/roge...ulcast-tv.html

This should be interesting, I thought other teams had done this before on a permanent basis but I was mistaken, if it goes ok I can definitely see other teams doing it, why pay 4 guys when you can just pay 2?

TV announcing is completely different from radio announcing. Just listen to Brantley on the radio, and the difference is clear.

The main problem is that with TV announcing you are adding to what the audience is already seeing. With radio, you are telling the audience what the can’t see. My guess is that they just don’t care about the radio audience, since it’s a fraction of the TV audience in terms of money generated.
