I thought they were at 40 before, so if that's right, than DeLeon or Robel must have been dropped.

I think today is big day for Ervin. His job was to split time with Winker. But Winker is hitting lefties better than Ervin so he's no longer needed in that role. Davidson has surpassed him as best righty DH/PH option. When Senzel comes back we will have 3 options in CF (Senzel, Shogo and Payton).
Unless he has a big day before Senzel returns, I think we could see him DFA'd.

Senzel doesn't count against the 40 right now since he's not on the "10-day IL."
Reportedly Reds’ taxi squad on this road trip was - Payton, Stephenson, Colon and Blandino. Don’t know why 4 guys, but whatever.
Payton is the LHH of the group and the obvious choice for now.
But they now have about 7 OFers and likely more changes are coming.
The 1st day of the trip was a doubleheader, so Robel Garcia wasn't technically on the taxi squad when the taxi squad was announced for the trip because he was on the 29-man roster for that day. The next day he was put on the taxi squad, making it a 5-man taxi squad.
I would have liked to see what Garcia could do, instead of running JVM out there.
