"Reality tells us there are no guarantees. Except that some day Jon Lester will be on that list of 100-game winners." - Peter Gammons
Coming back from Meijer in Pleasant Ridge (Norwood?), the electronic billboard popped up with a black & white photo ad saying simply "Hammerin' Hank, Henry Aaron 1934-2021" and showing a photo of him in his classic swing. I then saw the same billboard pop up on the Norwood Lateral as I drove west right at Reading Road. Lamar Advertising, the billboard company, put them up around the nation. Here's an image from the web.

From what I've seen, Reading's own Claude Osteen, gave up the most homers to Aaron - 14 dingers. A blog I found quoted Osteen as saying, "You have a better chance of slapping a live rattlesnake across the face and getting away with it than you do trying to fool Hank Aaron.”
Here's a Texas newspaper interviewing various baseball folks (including Osteen).

It is on the whole probable that we continually dream, but that consciousness makes such a noise that we do not hear it. Carl Jung.
