So really it's a 2 yr deal and they added the 3rd yr to make the AAV lower for the luxury tax.
Looks like fans believe the Dodgers will trade Price (Blue Jays?) to offset some of the salary going to Bauer.

Having Bauer on the Reds for an abbreviated season was like dating a gorgeous and smart woman with a spectacular body. It’s great when it’s happening, but you know you’re out of your league and it’s just a matter of time before she moves on.
I will root for Bauer at least for a while. I liked his act.

I was hoping for anyone but the Dodgers and Cardinals. That's crazy money but wow what a super team in LA. Looking forward to rooting for the Washington Generals, oops I mean Cincinnati Reds this summer.
Nice. Reds get a pick and after 8 years, I no longer am compelled to root for the guy.
