    PFF grades

    1️⃣ Joe Burrow, QB- 90.6
    2️⃣ Jessie Bates III, S- 83.7
    3️⃣ Tee Higgins, WR- 82.3
    4️⃣ Chidobe Awuzie, CB- 80.1
    5️⃣ Ja’Marr Chase, WR- 73.6

The O line was awful mid 50's to mid 20's

They struggled to stop Bosa. He was able to create pressure more often than not. The 49ers secondary was terrible, but the Bengals weren't able to give Burrow enough protection to really take advantage of that.

The problem with the playcalling on the OT drive was that it just revealed an overall lack of plan. Like Taylor just ran it for the sake of running the ball. If you're going to run it twice, then you should be doing that thinking that it's 4 down territory. But it all seemed random.

There was no reason to run it anyway though. The 49ers weren't going to get 3 straight stops against Burrow and the WRs.

Double TE sets? Put an extra lineman in at TE? Run and pass out of the Jumbo sets and triple team Bosa if you have to. Anything besides doing the same thing over and over again that isn't working.

As many others have said already... Taylor was outcoached again last Sunday.

He outcoached himself and the team shot themselves in the foot...it's not like Shanny out schemed him...

I know earlier in the year they did put Prince at the extra TE spot but with Reiffs injury they probably went away from being able to do that.

Taylor deserves some criticism for a few play calls and not having the team ready to compete from the very start, but I don’t think he was out there committing coaching malpractice to any extent. At a certain point players need to execute, and there are plenty of examples from the last couple of weeks where guys couldn’t make plays that have zero to do with coaching.

I’m also taking this playoff run as gravy. I think this team is a year early and with the 2022 draft + free agency the window opens in earnest next season.

Alright! The Bengals get another shot at taking over 1st Place in the AFC North next weekend. Not sure if Jackson is playing or not, but I don't see Baltimore beating GB. Bengals need this win in Denver.

If Vonn Bell picks off a pass he should pick off, are we talking about this?

I feel like I'm in a very healthy relationship with the Bengals now. I follow, watch the games when I can, but don't get emotionally involved or worked up like I used to.

I know it's annoying they let a few chances slip away the last couple weeks, but eight of this weekend's 16 games have playoff implications for the Bengals. That's pretty entertaining, much more fun than the last five years obviously.

    Zac Taylor agrees with me:

Asked Monday if he did, in fact, lose any sleep, Taylor once again responded as if he were hooked to a polygraph: “Yeah, I did. Yeah. Here’s what you look at. You rewatch the game, and our team did a lot of outstanding things to go win the football game. I look at all the offensive plays the offense made there, in particular in the fourth quarter and overtime, and everybody stepped up and made plays, so where could I have been different? Two things can be true. You can believe in your run game and your running back and offensive line, and you can also put the ball in your quarterback’s hands because in 15 years we think this guy, we think we are going to look back and he’s going to be a Hall of Fame-type quarterback. Give him a chance to win the game.”
Still a young coach, hopefully he learns here.

He's definitely still learning on the job but I also think he oughta look long and hard about giving up play calling duties next year

Bates but I get your overall point…

I still think there would be handwringing over the slow starts and o line issues.
