    Baseball card search - Bench

    Hey all,

A friend of mine is putting together a Bench Topps collection. He's looking for the following years:

    -1968 Topps
    -1970 Topps
    -1973 Topps
    -1975 Topps

If anyone has any of these cards that they might be willing to part with, let me know!

I had three of those in my youth and played with them until they all but fell apart.

Try eBay. I found my Bench collection there a few years ago. (I bought them for pleasure, not investment, so the condition was not always great, but good - and cheap - enough for me.)

Collectible, not graded or even gradable condition. It’s for a player registry project, so anything outside of “poor” should be fine.

I have the 73 and 75 in decent condition. if you PM me an address, I can mail them to you or your friend directly.

The 68 and 70 are the two hardest Bench Topps cards to collect, as you might know, they won’t be cheap if he finds them.

I’ll second the eBay suggestion. If condition isn’t a huge consideration sportlots.com would be a decent option for the 73 and 75 cards as they’re both relatively common / low value cards but the 68 is his rookie card and the 70 is a high number short print so both command a premium and given the state of the market I’d expect to spend $100+ for each.

PM sent! Thanks for your help.

I expect the 68 and 70 to be difficult to find, but if there's a network of folks who might have them, it's RedsZone.

EBAY is the way to go if he isn't looking for gradeable cards. I built my 70's sets through mainly EBAY back in the early 2000's. I wasn't worried about the condition as long as they weren't too poor. Saying that I had to settle for a 1970 Bench card that was torn a little. His 1970 card is very expensive, even for a poor one. Fortunately I already had his 1968 card from youth and most of the other 70's card of him. Good luck to your friend.
