Crime Dog probably gets into Cooperstown if he reaches 500 home runs. He came up 7 shy. He put up some pretty solid numbers.

A lot of those numbers during the dead ball 80's, it's a crime he's not in the hall

I suspect Kingman would have made whatever number of HR he reached no longer automatic.

Yeah, that's what I was getting at. I know he wouldn't have been inducted, but it would have made for some good conversations, especially considering how few had hit 500 home runs before 1990. He was a true one tool player.

I bow to the wisdom of those on here who were adamant Votto would come around and start to play well. His offense is now humming much better and I love his work on defense which was apparent in the diving catch yesterday, tag, and of course toss to 3rd. Good for Joey!!
