Three relatively important games today:
Brooklyn v. Milwaukee
I want to see how the Bucks Big Three stack up against... oh, wait. Injuries. Okay, then. At least Durant and Kyrie are supposed to go. This is a big test for the Nets as they look to continue on top of the East.
Heat v. Hornets
Miami needs to start making up ground on five seed Atlanta yesterday. They can pull even with a victory today. What does that matter, you ask? For one, the play-in tournament. For another, the five seed gets to play New York. (And that seems like a much easier road than, say, Milwaukee.) The Hornets, meanwhile, need to start making up ground for that 8th seed spot. They're now almost healthy again, with The Younger Ball and Malik Monk playing. Gordon Hayward and Graham are still out, however. (It's amazing how many injuries the Hornets have overcome this season.)
Boston v. Portland
Look at the Miami comments above. Copy and paste them here for Boston. Double that for Portland, who has a chance to catch the Lakers for the sixth seed-- and a pass out of the play-in tournament if they can. Both teams really need this win-- the Blazers have six playoff teams and San Antonio in nine games. Boston only has four, but two of those are with Miami. Should be a fun matchup.
