Starting to sound as if reports of another car are bogus. He was running late for a meetup to hit balls with Drew Brees. Was going to be an half hour late. Look's like he was speeding and just lost control.

Based on the medical information released by his people, Tiger had MAJOR damage to his right leg. He's lucky to have not lost it. Very decent chance this ends his career.

The odds are certainly against him. However, Ben Hogan survived a car accident where he had a double fracture of his pelvis, a broken collar bone and ankle and a chipped rib plus blood clots and he came back and won all his majors after the accident. However, Hogan was 36 at the time of the accident and Tiger is 45. But the medical technology these days is so far ahead of what they had back then. Tiger is wealthy enough that he could afford pretty much any kind of specialists or equipment out there. I think a large part of it is whether he has the will to play again at the highest level. He doesn't have to golf to make a living anymore. He said that being a good father is more impoetant to him now than winning championships. He's already recognized by most as the GOAT. He's really got nothing left to prove. If he does come back from this, I could see him limiting his schedule to any major where he has an exemption to play and certain events on the tour where he can get a sponsor's exemption which should be as easy to get as breathing.

I thought of Hogan and his story. I didn't realize Hogan was 36 at the time, it seemed like he was at tail end of his career when it happened.
That said, Tiger may be the GOAT, but the field of golfers that Tiger will have to compete against is quite a bit different than that of Tiger. I believe guys like DJ, JT, Speith, Koepka would go down as all time greats had they played in different era's. Instead they are playing against each other. And that doesn't include the next wave of golfers that are making what Tiger did some twenty years ago seem ordinary.
Is it both legs? From this it sounds like only one:
