Then he reaches his pitch count so they just call the inning and move on.

Early Spring training or not it sure would be nice to see some offense from somebody.

Can't see any Starters throwing more than 180 innings, while the top-5 probably average 145 innings. Plenty of opportunity for at least two more Starters who will reach 120 innings, whether that's a combination of starts and relief appearances or just accomplished through starts, though it's more likely the former. With the addition of many 7-inning double-headers, there simply is a need for seven or eight starters who won't stink it up when he gets handed the ball succumbing to pressure because he's too young or failing because he' afraid to pitch inside. Finnegan is neither of these and could deliver 120 innings of quality pitching if he proves himself through Spring Training and April, when he'd be needed the most.

He becomes a great asset if he would walk. But, what pitcher in his right mind not pitch to him?

According to Fangraphs, he has been 89-90 on his FB, 77-78 on his slider and 84-85 on his changeup

All the hitting was done by the replacements

    AlfRod 2-2 with homer
    Heineman 2-2 with homer
    India 1-1 with double.

Heineman played first base today, he’s played some (not much) at first in his career. Plays all OF positions.

He’s a dark horse for the roster as a RHH with defensive versatility. Hit well in the minors.

Or if at AAA could be high on the list for a call up.
