I think he does. But he isn’t throwing 160 innings this year. Ease him in and things will work out.

The purpose of spring training games is not to win.
It’s also to get players ready for the season. You get ready by playing. Not rolling. Like a complete unknown with no direction home.

Ok. Stretching him out is fine. It’s just that, to my untrained eye, he has the velocity and stuff and makeup to be a good to very good pitcher. He has a bit of arrogance on the mound that I like too. He pitched well in last season’s abbreviated season.

    As he k’s another hitter.

Good luck keeping Wade Miley in the rotation over this guy if he’s anything close to this.

    Very encouraging stuff from Antone
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

All true. And if he keeps his performance up, he’ll be in the rotation. Can he hold up over a (full) season? That’s the big question.

Yep. It will be an interesting story as the season progresses. Hopefully a good story.

If Antone keeps this up through the spring it is going to drive me insane when Bell slots Miley in the rotation over him.
What would you say.....ya do here?
