    Crazy inning for Finnigan:

    K’s the first batter
Easy 5-3 for the second batter
    Error on 1B Crook
Bloop single that doesn’t even leave the infield
Bunt single that Finnigan throws away
    K’s the last batter

    1 IP
    2 H
    0 BB
    2 K
    1 R (unearned)

Saw the replay on that. Hard to tell what exactly happened on the Robinson boot out in LF, but they had the runner at home except that AlfRod had a terrible throw over the catcher's head, which my have been caused by the crappy way he got in position for the relay.

Dauri Moreta faced 3 batters and got 3 swinging strikeouts. In his last year pitching 2019 Moreta was at Daytona and had 2.35 ERA. 57 Innings, 46 hits, 64 K's.

    Ashcraft never got in.

Bell on Alex Blandino: “We already know he’s a good player… He continues to do what he’s asked and doing everything he can to get playing time."

David Bell on Brandon Finnegan: “As far as the way he pitched, he stayed with it and kept competing and didn’t change a thing."

    Charlie Goldsmith @CharlieG__

It was another really impressive night for minor league pitchers, especially Gutierrez, Finnegan, Santillan and Moreta.

Eight strikeouts and no earned runs from that group of pitchers.

Brandon Finnegan’s velocity was up to 95, but what stood out to me was that he made batters lose balance on four swing-and-misses.

Not that he’s a world beater, but always seemed good enough for utility.

Maybe he’ll get a shot this season.
