If doolittle comes back and Bedrosian makes the next step, I would agree. Bradley just needs to keep being what he's been. If all three pitch like their most recent seasons, Bradley is in a tier or two above those guys and Iglesias is better than Bradley. The repladements might end up working out, but if these pitchers stay on their same arc, its been a massive downgrade IMO. Noe Ramirez would be on the bubble for me.

Quite frankly, Bedrosian has been just as good, if not better, than Bradley over their careers. So, I'm not sure I follow Bedrosian needing to "make the next step".

Totally agree Doolittle requires a bounce back. I was more referring to the fact that he has a LONG track record of being a reliable reliever. He may be cooked. We'll find out

Projections:

Bradley - Anywhere from a 3.6 to 4.2 ERA
Bedrosian - Anywhere from a 4.0 to 4.6 ERA
Doolittle - Anywhere from a 3.9 to 5 ERA

In other words, they aren't special

I'm not here to argue that the bullpen is better with Bradley and Iglesias gone. I'm saying we are getting an inordinate amount of heartburn over Bradley specifically

Just be glad he is going to be gone after this year. Meanwhile Moustakas and Castellanos are going to be here three more years. And people wonder why the Reds didn't make any big free agent signings this year. Has there ever been as bad of a year of free agent signings as Williams had last year? Overpaying for mediocre/below average players to the tune of $40+ million/yr is going to haunt this team for years.

Miley has always been a solid starting pitcher. Works fast and gets lots of weak contact/ground balls. Always liked him. I hope he makes it a full season, because we do not have much pitching depth this year.

I hope Miley keeps it up, he's no Bauer but I'm hoping he's better than last years Disco. It would go a long way into solidifying the rotation, and not taxing the weaknesses in our bullpen!
