84-78. Hitting has to be better. I mean it was historically bad, literally, last year. If the pitching stays healthy we can compete. Defense will be not good. Reds win weak NL Central.

I’ll say 78 wins, the defense will possibly be the worst in franchise history but the hitting should be better.
When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.

There's really no reason to believe the team will be better than last year. Any optimisim is rooted in the Central's mediocrity.
Any assumptions you make about the offense improving are at least balanced out by losses in pitching.
I can see real optimism for an offense with carrying bats like Castellanos, Suarez, Winker and Senzel and good depth guys in Moose, Shogo and Votto. Second base is a wild card, but if India is what we're being told he is, that's another potential positive. I'm not banking on it, but Stephenson could be another bonus at catcher. I thought the offense would club the ball last year, and I still retain some of that hope. I'm bullish on Senzel as well. And, well, Mark Payton.
Defensively, we've got a softball team. Shifts and positioning could mitigate some of the awfulness, but it's going to be pretty bad, I would imagine.
Pitching will decidedly take a step backward. Losing the Cy Young winner obviously hurts. I still don't see the depth in the rotation, and I'm worried about Gray's health. I'm still not convinced Miley is healthy. I don't think Lorenzen's an especially good pitcher, so I don't see how he'll get better with more exposure. I like Castillo and Mahle. I think Antone could be really good. But, mark my word, by May, guys like DeLeon and Hoffman will be getting starts. It ain't going to be good.
The bullpen's a crapshoot, because bullpen's are always a crapshoot. I really like a lot of the arms out there. I think Bedrosian was a great addition. I'm really encouraged by Vlad Guttierez's spring. I think Noe Ramirez will be solid. Obviously, worried about Garrett and Sims's health. At the end of the day, they lost Iglesias, who, whatever you may think of him, was a good bullpen arm, and Archie Bradley. That doesn't make the bullpen better.
The team isn't constructed to handle injuries, and the injuries have already started mounting. I think the rotation is going to be a glaring weakness (and shoddy defense won't help). I think guys that have no business starting major league games will be in the rotation this summer.

This team will blow. Playing Pirates 19 times will help but the pitching is dogsheet. Bullpen is crap. They've got MAYBE 6 pitchers on this club worth a damn. Defense is not any good either. Votto is WAAAAAAAAAAAY past his prime. I like Stephenson, India, Senzel, Winker, Castellanos, Suarez, Moooooose,.....and I think Akiyama does fine when he gets back. But the pitching??? Ugh. Antone, Castillo, Garrett, Sims, Gray, Mahle....maybe Lorenzen and Doolittle, and maybe Perez too. That is about it. Front office did not do well in off season at all.
