Henry Darrow died on March 14, 2021, age 87. You probably have to be a baby boomer to remember Darrow. He is most often recalled for his role as "Manolito Montoya" on TV's The High Chaparral, a western which ran for four seasons on NBC, starting in 1967. Darrow was also the first Hispanic actor to play "Zorro." He won an Emmy in the early 1980s for his role on a soap opera. He was very active in efforts to increase acting opportunities for Hispanic actors. A few years ago I read his autobiography, "Lightning in the Bottle." R.I.P.
