I’d agree with you. It was a platoon.

Discussed in game thread. Probably a righty/lefty thing as this pitcher has a history of being tough on RHH. Thus, Naquin gets the start.

Also, with Naquin’s hot start, Bell probably wants to use him to some extent this series. I’d guess Senzel will play tomorrow, probably even later in tonight’s game.

But yes - it may mean that when Shogo returns other OFers will be rested more. Maybe a good idea, maybe not, we’ll find out.

You don’t think he’s going to be platooned this season regardless?

No. I think Winker is the LF starter, Senzel is CF starter and Cast in RF. If he keeps hitting bombs that could rapidly change.

Votto is not getting traded so it doesn’t really matter.

Really curious to see what happens. Obviously Naquin's start at this point can't be ignored but a lot can happen over the next few weeks before Shogo is set to return. And maybe the biggest question is...can Winker and Senzel stay healthy. I feel like it's going to all work itself out one way or another.

Naquin is having a player of the month kind of start. Ride it until he goes full Dietrich.

I want Shogo to come back and rake and give us way too many good OFers to choose from. I've also been comfy on the Shogo bandwagon since last year, so I'm totally biased.

    Rehab?

    I'm not a system player. I am a system.
