Nick Krall says Aquino is competing with Mark Payton and Tyler Naquin for a spot on the roster. “He’s going to be able to be a bat on the bench… (We’re working to) figure out how he can best improve and be a contributor on this club."

Krall on Jonathan India: “I’ve been really pleased with what I’ve seen… The biggest thing is continuing to take good at-bats and tough at-bats."

Krall says it’s to be determined how long until Joey Votto is back in games "He’s going to come in to camp, assess where he is and see where that takes him."

Alternate site
With the Minor League seasons delayed by a month, the Reds have opted to set up their alternate training site at Louisville. Last year, the club used Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio. Since many of the players who will be at the alternate site will begin the regular season in Louisville, it made more sense logistically to have them workout there.

Who'd have guessed that Doolittle was our best pitcher of the day so far?

Hopefully this means he's rounding into form and the success continues. Would be a huge addition to the bullpen if he can be somewhere between 2018 and 2019.

Hard to understand why Sal Romano is still in this org

I'm a firm believer that some guys just need booted the hell out of town simply due to the principle of the matter. He's one of them.
