5-pitch first for Gore as the Reds go down quickly.

Pham leads off with a grounder up the middle as ?Blandino? waves it on through and into center. Hoffman pitching from an abbreviated windup. I thought Suarez was at short. Who knows with the shift.
Cronenworth with a sharp grounder up the middle. First and second.
Tatis, Jr. just looks like he's going to do damage. He ropes a line single to left. Bases juiced.
Machado bounces into a force at second. As does Hosmer. 2-zip Padres.
Wild pitch moves Hosmer into scoring position.
Will Myers singles down the line to right. Hosmer scores. 3-0.
Caratini with a sinking liner to Senzel. 3 down.

Hoffman about to get lit up. At least BobSteve isn't doing that much better....5.40 ERA and 2.00 WHIP this spring

Man, this guy getting starts in the big leagues is a scary thought. Hope he proves me wrong but he just doesn’t fool anybody.

Suarez looked like he hurt his hand/wrist on a swing. He walked around for a minute, but has stepped back in.

5-3 Suarez. There isn't enough mustard at French's to cover Machado.
    K. Barnhart looked pathetic. How is he hitting in the 5-spot?
    BB. Senzel.
    Weak force 5-4. Farmer.

That swing work Barnhart did over the winter sure hasn't kicked in yet.

In my opinion Barnhart should never be higher than 8th in the order. (9th if there's a DH)

Profar tries to bunt against the shift, but Hoffman barehands the ball and fires to first.
Hoffman Ks his opposite number. Two away.
    Weak grounder 5-3. Pham retired.

    Bounceback inning for Hoffman.

That was Suarez waving at that grounder up the middle. Blandino isn't in the lineup.

Tatis fields a grounder against India. India called out on a call that would have been reversed had there been replay and Tatis leaves the field with some kind of (hip?) injury.

6-3. Tatis backhands the ground ball and throws a one-hopper to nip India (maybe?). Tatis is coming out of the game.

    Bobby Nightengale
    @nightengalejr
Fernando Tatis Jr. coming out of the #Reds-#Padres game after fielding a ground ball and throwing out Jonathan India. He had an awkward slide at second base on a fielder's choice earlier in the game, too.
