It was about the time of day to check Boston Marathon results...and I learned the marathon is in October this year. Bummer.

My first thought was, "wait, who was the Reds' top off-season acquisition??"

Slow day on Boylston St. Just got back from there a little while ago. Empty all down Beacon St. too. Kind of eerie. I think everyone went on vacation.

Our old friend Wandy Peralta came on in the bottom of the 9th in a tie game between the Giants the Phillies and quickly ended the game after walking the first batter and giving up two singles afterwards.

    Trade him for Amir.

Todd Frazier gets called up by the Pirates and then takes to social media to start a fight with a Pirates beat writer.

Hey Honey Dijon. I mean Dejan. Sorry pal. I’m waiting for your miserable tweet about me getting called up. Let the people know big shot. You’ve been preaching it for a long time now

Cubs get a leadoff triple in the bottom of the 8th in a tie game and fail to score.

It helps to see other teams do stuff like this instead of mistakenly thinking that the Reds are the only ones.

Incredible double play to secure the win for the Padres.

    Bob Nightengale @BNightengale

Casali Magic: The #SFGiants with their 5th shutout victory in the last 11 games, all caught by backup catcher Curt Casali.

Four of those five shutouts were starts from former #Reds pitchers too: DeSclafani, Cueto, Gausman and Wood.

Re: 2021 MLB In-Season General Discussion

I like Stephenson a lot and Barnhart has been good this year, but Curt Casali is a good big league catcher who seems to get more out the pitcher than most catchers. He also acts and carries himself like a guy who belongs in the big leagues. I understand why he's gone and it was probably the only choice to make, but I'm sorry he's not on the roster anymore. On a roster with too much minor league filler, he's an actual big league player who is missed IMO.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!
