#Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said they're shutting down Josiah Gray for 7-10 days with a shoulder impingement.

Billy Hamilton doing fun things in Sox game....a LCF triple and I think could’ve had a 2nd but held up....then stole 3rd....on triple went home on a close past ball

He’s still fast and when things go well is dang fun.

    Good for him

His SB gives him 309 in his career....passing Elvis Andrus as active leader

Sources: Edwin Jackson and Homer Bailey are expected to play for USABaseball at the upcoming Olympic baseball qualifier. Both remain MLB free agents and the final roster hasn’t been set.

The Chicago Cubs have hit 31 batters in 36 games and are on pace to hit 147 batters this season, just behind them are the Cardinals and Brewers

The MLB record is 109 by the 1899 Spiders, no MLB team since then has topped 100, with the 95 the Rays had in 2005 as the modern record

I remember when the Rays were doing their plunkfest routine. Pack of jerks.

So glad that jackass is gone. Funny how the Reds and Pirates can just play baseball now.

He will go down as one of the great “what if’s” in Reds history. With a modest .350 OBP, he could have been one of the most impactful players in the game.

Braves drop to 3 below .500 today. Not sure what to make of them. Freddie Freeman having an OPS in the 700s can’t help.

    TheAthletic---

Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres has tested positive for COVID-19, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic was among those to report.

The Yankees placed Torres on the COVID-19 injured list as a result, and they recalled infielder/outfielder Miguel Andujar to fill his roster spot.

Torres is the eighth member of the Yankees’ traveling party to test positive this week, joining coaches Phil Nevin, Reggie Willits, Matt Blake and four non-coaches on their staff.

Last I had heard was MLB dugouts as a whole were at 70% fully vaccinated, and that Torres had been vaccinated.

Didn’t the Yanks supposedly have a few vaccinated coaches come up with covid?

I’m calling BS. The odds of that happening are virtually zero.
