Jarred Kelenic has been back up in Seattle for a week now and he’s still real bad. Interesting.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Toronto is flat-out scary with the bats. They're a big SP trade away from being the AL favorite IMO.

The Padres booth named home plate umpire Doug Eddings as "player of the game" after a very questionable strike zone that heavily favored Miami.

You can tell who's on the trade block by who clubs are pretending to talk extension with. It's a bargaining ploy.

There's no way Alcantara is going to get dealt for anything south of a monster, franchise-changing offer. He's only arb-eligible in 2022. While that may prove expensive, he won't be prohibitive until at least two years after that, even for the penny-pinching Marlins.

Joey Gallo would look good in CF. Just sayin'. (His defensive numbers there, while a small sample, show an at least league average glove.)

Closer Ian Kennedy, Gallo, and RP Spencer Patton from the Rangers for Austin Hendrick, Bryce Bonnin, and Graham Ashcraft might be an overpay, but it'd certainly get their attention and might put the Reds in the conversation as either a wildcard team or as the division winner. (It would also keep Gallo away from Milwaukee.)

I'd absolutely make that trade, I'd guess Texas could get more immediate help for Gallo though. Gallo would be the RF next year when Cast walks. Patton would be a long term piece.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!
