The A's have been my AL team since I was a kid. I've been watching a good number of their games this year and they are really fun to watch.

    Pretty solid team all around.

The Marlins are offering some help last night and today.
Well, that's what those words mean. He was here. If they don't keep him, he will have been lost/subtracted. I headed out the door today with two shoes on my feet. If I don't return with them, I have lost them. If I do return with them, I haven't added them. ---M2

Crazy how they got off to that god awful start and have just been playing great baseball since.

Still, they seem to have a way of coming up small on the big stage in the 21st century. Lot of first round exits.

Their weak starting pitching is starting to get exposed imo.

3 triple plays for the Yankees this year including today's game-ender. They've never had more than one in a season before this year.

I see the Rays signed Franco as the #1 international FA in 2017 for less than $4mill. Isn't that less than what we gave to AlfRod? How does that work?

I wonder if it would be possible to reverse-engineer the Rays front office approach to player acquisition?

CHICAGO – On Monday, the Cincinnati Reds officially ended their long courtship of Cuban shortstop Alfredo Rodriguez, officially signing the 22-year-old for a bonus worth a reported $7 million. Due to spending penalties, he’ll ultimately cost the organization just less than $9 million.
