Votto was athletic for him on that play but you can’t watch the slow mo replay and say his footwork is any good.

Votto saved Suarez and the Reds on that play...his footwork almost cost him the ability to save him.

No problem with Joey getting deference for his place in Reds history...but this is the BIGS and winning is everything. Joey is not a 3 slot hitter anymore. Hitting 6th looks about right. MAYBE 5? That is stretch.

I would like to see Farmer or Blandino at 3b and Moose at 1b vs. LHP. Votto will need days off might as well platoon him.

That’s not been the Reds way for a good while.

Brandon Phillips batted 7th opening day in 2015.....had an exciting comeback win and everyone was celebrating but Phillips wasn’t even happy. Moved back up to where he thought he should be.
