Honestly - this is so stupid, I expect it could have the opposite effect.

Adding on to M2’s thread about attitude and emotion. This might be the rallying cry around this.

Sure suspend him for two games. But you better believe the chip on this teams shoulder is only increasing with a ridiculous suspension with no precedent.

MLB could have made this somewhat reasonable by suspending Castellanos for instigating massive violations of COVID protocols. Instead they came up with a truly bizarre justification.

Not only that, he literally bumped into the ump doing so, I thought that was automatic?

I read the ump said Molina bumping him was inadvertently done.

Sigh

I assume the ump was required to apologize to Molina.

Judging from the inequalities of the punishments, the Cardinals are the Boy Scouts and the Reds are the Hells Angels in these kinds of situations.

Having said that, I think I’m ok with it.

The two games is dumb. Pitcher beaned him and then he taunted him quickly ...no one was hurt. Move on.

I suspect it’ll get dropped to 1 game on the appeal

I really hope it’s not over. I want The Reds playing with an edge every game against them this season.

Take it to them hard. Showboat every homer. Fist pump every strike out. Hurt their little feelings every game.
