2021 All Star Game to Denver

Per the Athletic. MLB doesn’t have to worry about voter suppression laws in Colorado, because we’ve all been voting by mail for the past 10 years. i’d love to see Suarez and Castellanos in the home run derby at 5,200 feet.

We will be sure to haul in a box of a few million ballots all marked for Reds players at midnight.

Coors field allows 50% capacity, which should make it more exciting. HR Derby should be a blast.

I don't care where it's located. I haven't watched an AS game in ages (lol). IMO, it's not an ALL STAR game but a popularity contest with MLB, organizations, and the fans encouraging fans to stuff the ballot box. Same goes for the HR Derby!

Can anyone get into the Politics and Religion forum or do we need to go through some sort of approval process?

There's instructions on how to request access in a sticky thread in the Non-Sports Chatter forum. One of us will approve requests as they come in.

I wonder if they will still store the baseballs in the Humidor before the Homerun derby. I say they should not.

Was the last time it was in Denver the ASG where Griffey Jr. decided at the last minute to participate in the HR derby, and ended up winning?

Not sure about the last minute decision, but he did win the ‘98 Home Run Derby in Denver.

The other two Junior won were ‘94 and ‘99, so I could also see ‘99 as an option. I doubt he would have decided last minute in ‘94, but I guess you never know.

Officially, Juan Gonzalez won the 1993 HR derby, but good luck getting anyone who was there to remember that (I was one of those people). Once Jr. hit the warehouse beyond the RF deck at Camden Yards, that was the show.
