I wish I had a dollar for every time I muted the tv and turned the radio on because of Thoms foolishness.

Thought about throwing something at the tv screen when he started interviewing that damn bird while ignoring the game

    Re: Thrall and Brantley

I spent much of my youth riding around in an extended work van with my fellow traveling knothole teammates going from here to there to play baseball. During those rides my father would be driving and he'd always have Marty and Joe on. To this day I rarely watch a Reds game where I don't mute the tv and put on the radio. As I mentioned on opening day, I think Thrall and Brantley are a good combo and am ecstatic I don't have to listen to Thom anymore.

I despised Thom, but I will say that was one of his few good bits as a Reds broadcaster.

i don't notice any negativity.I like them. I even think Brantley had made a few strides forward in his play by play.
I've been to dinner at Jimmy Buffet's house, and I've eaten it at a homeless shelter. And there's great joy and harrowing terror to be found in both places.

He seemed unpopular on here, but I always thought Jim Kelch had the best dynamic with Brantley. The problem I have with Thrall is that he too enthusiastically a company man. You don't need to get worked up about the BBQ ribs. That's the Cowboy's job.

Kelch was the straight man in a comedy duo for sure. The problem was that he had no personality whatsoever - sometimes they needed to check his pulse to see if was okay. Still can't believe he lasted about a decade with Reds.

I'm getting used to both TV and radio guys but I like what I'm hearing so far. It's a little odd on TV not hearing Welsh much yet and it feels a bit like it's an MLB network game as I'm not quite yet used to the voices but I'm certainly warming up to them.

Waiting for catch phrases from everyone other than Brantley's "RAAAAHHHHT DOWN BROADWAAAAY" which seems to slowly roll out of his mouth I think Thrall is a decent foil for the Cowboy and the best is probably yet to come from those two.

Sadak is a tv /movie quote guy.

He dropped "Hello Newman" from Seinfeld several times, mentioned the Gooch from Different Strokes when Larkin brings up his friend Gooch from the "Reds Hot" music video ... even this deep cut from Ghostbusters.

I think Thrall is great. Miss Marty some still. Not missing Thom at all.

I listen to the radio broadcast fairly often. I think they work well together. I particularly like Cowboy since he is a Mississippi State Bulldog like myself.

I listen on radio daily due to stupid local blackout rules and I think they combo does a good job overall. Huge Brantley fan and he has the perfect tone.

Listened to the broadcast today while painting a barn door. The duo made my boring task more enjoyable. They are great together.

It sounds like I’m in the minority here, but I don’t really like Thrall. Don’t hate him, but he does very little for me. I do like Cowboy just fine and find them perfectly tolerable together considering how little I listen to the radio for games.

Yeah, it gets a little embarassing at times. I would hate to have to work for that management group.
