Just an added note. Agree with Redsfaithful on the forever uniform. Go with the 1970 as the base in that case IMO.

I love that the original article talked about the “rich history” of the franchises and one of the first teams to be rolled out this year is.... The Arizona Diamondbacks. All 22 years of it.

There's no stopping that nonsense once it starts. If you watch the NBA regularly, it's hard to tell who you're watching sometimes. A few teams wear different colors almost on a nightly basis. Alternate uniforms based on the main color scheme or a historical scheme are cool, but stuff like this really frustrates me.

Yeah that’s particularly what I hope does not make the crossover from the NBA to MLB. There’s even been inexplicable scenarios in basketball where both teams are wearing basically the same color schemes on some of the dumber alt jersey nights.

There are some rare bulleyes that Nike has hit on in the NBA, like the Heat’s Miami Vice jerseys, but for the most part those alt jerseys are complete and total garbage.

I remember watching an Indians/Twins game on TV around 15 or 20 years ago where both teams wore their navy blue alternate jerseys. The only way you could tell the clubs apart was that the Indians were wearing gray pants, and the Twins were wearing white pants with pinstripes.

I get they are trying to generate sales for new merchandise. But it’s not for me. Hate them, will be critical of them, and won’t wear them. Get off my lawn.

One of the appeals of MLB is its history and traditions. Goofball unies are not any of that. But that’s me. YMMV.

I hear you... Angels have been "all Red" for almost 20 years though (2002) ....

Now the Rangers - they need to decide if they're a Red team with blue accents or a Blue team with Red accents.

I think of the Rangers as a blue team, though more of a brighter blue like the Dodgers than the dark blue of the Twins or Indians (or Angels).
