Not trying to be a party pooper, but I don’t think Naquin is exactly gonna pull a Scooter or anything. I wouldn’t be making any major lineup moves to accommodate him. At most I’d sit Votto for a game and put Winker 1B until Naquin cools off, but I think that’ll happen within the week or so.

I don’t see an issue with Winker. Just get Naquin several games a week by resting guys. Resting Senzel an issue defensively, true.

The harder issue is when Shogo comes back. Six OF is sub-optimal but Reds may have no practical alternative.

People only bring up the manager when they want to fire somebody. Because we all know replacing your manager gets better results immediately in baseball.

Would make sense being his second start and given that The Reds publicly stated they were going to try and monitor workloads after the covid-shortened 2020 season.
